A Community Group serves as a microcosm of the larger church.
Community Groups exist so that believers can be of one heart and one mind, engaging in purposeful fellowship where we can, “go deeper with one another so that we can go further for Christ.”
At Cherokee Hills Christian Church (CHCC) we believe every church member has the privilege and responsibility of being engaged in a Community Group (Acts 4:32). We have groups that meet every demographic and believe in peer to peer interaction that helps foster community and create gospel-centered relationships. Our Community Groups meet two-times per month; on the 2nd Sunday night and last Sunday night of every month. Once a quarter all our groups meet at the church (6PM) for a fellowship meal, devotion, and prayer.
Community Group Core Values:
- Fellowship: engage in a time and place where believers can spur one another on and encourage one another towards authentic relationships that transform us into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ (Act 2:42).
- Study: discuss the Bible and/or a Bible based resource (provided by CHCC) as a community for the purpose of spiritual growth transformation (2 Timothy 4:16).
- Prayer: know each community member and how they are doing, to partner with them through life’s challenges and triumphs, and to pray consistently with them and for them (James 5:13-16).
